Do you want to manage grocery lists? Listerful is different from the other apps in the App Store - it gives you an easy way to create your list at home but then quickly check off the items while you're walking through the store. How about gifts you need to buy for your loved ones? You know, the kind they mention 6 months ahead of time but you can never remember when you're shopping? Or maybe you just want a super simple TODO manager? Listerful can do that, too! Listerful started life as an app to actually manage real-world lists. We all have so many of them as it is. Why let the tool get in the way? There are lots more features already planned for future releases, but your feedback is welcome and will help make this a tool that works the way you need it to. Super simple. Follow on Twitter: http://twitter.com/listerful
iOS4 COMPATIBILITY NOTE I've submitted 1.40 to Apple which fixes the problems in iOS4. Hopefully they will review/approve quickly. Thanks!
COMING IN 1.12:
- The list of lists can now be sorted alphanumerically or manually. Just pick your option in the global settings. - You can now email your lists without leaving the app. - The list item summary is now based on the selected badge type. So if you care about unchecked items, it will show the unchecked item count, etc.
NEW FOR 1.11: - You can now edit the global settings from within the app
NEW FOR 1.10: - Add different options for handling checked items: nothing, hide them, or (the current) re-sort to the bottom - Per-list setting for showing checked or unchecked on the badge - Hide the item index for short lists
NEW FOR 1.9x: - ability to send a list via emil - more icons, including days of the week - show new version info one time during startup
NEW IN 1.7: - Bug fix for size/quantity text fields - search/index feature for list items - consolidated action buttons
NEW FOR 1.6: Just in time for the holidays, a light little upgrade to add user preferences for the following: - font family - font size - auto correction - auto capitalization
You can access these new preferences via the global Settings app. If you think they should be configurable per-list, let me know at the website below.
NEW FOR 1.5.1: - Added ability to manually order items in a list - Added option to sort a list by alphanumeric, priority, or manual order - Improved the icon selection screen
NEW FOR 1.4: - Added plus and minus buttons for changing item quantity - Added a button to delete all checked items - Added confirmation dialogs before making changes to all items - Bumped version to 1.4
NEW FOR 1.3: - Fix the silly bug that prevents you from actually deleting an item - sorry all! - Buttons to check and uncheck all list items - Memory cleanup
NEW FOR 1.2: - Reverted the Marker Felt font to Verdana - Checked items move to the bottom of the list - New icon
NEW FOR 1.1: - quantity/size tracking
- Added prioritization of list items - iPhone OS 3.0 compatibility tweaks - Cleaned up the list and items views - Added new list options and icon selection

Feature suggestion
Hi. Great app. I've been using it for quite awhile now. One thing I would suggest is a Notes field for items when you're adding them to your lists, so you can put down a few details about the item being added. For example, if you were to add "Write article for site" as an entry on your list, a Notes field would let you jot down some of the ideas or details you might have for that particular entry. Or you could put down "Buy cleaning products for house" then write which ones to get in a Notes field. Just a suggestion that I think would be very useful to a lot of people, and put this app even further ahead of the other apps out there. I've tried quite a few, and this one is definitely my favorite. Also, if a bigger selection of icons could be added to choose from, that would be great, too. Not as important as the addition of a Notes field, but I think it would be a great addition as well.
Bugs in new version
This app really has a TON of potential but this newest version is really buggy. I don't want to complain but rather leave constructive feedback.
Just a few bugs I've noticed...
When you exit the app within a list the app restarts in that same list (perfect), however you are then unable to return to the list of lists (the heading changes but not the screen content).
I am unable to delete items from a list. The item appears to delete but when I exit the list it reappears. I can delete a list properly so good work there.
These are two pretty significant bugs in my opinion and to be honest I really haven't tried much more. I think this app has the best setup, UI, and practicality of all list apps I've tried. I'd be thrilled to see some of these bugs fixed and I'll gladly continue to provide feedback to help the developer(s). Best of luck and thanks for a great app!
Thanks for the feedback! I
Thanks for the feedback! I just became aware of these issues, and plan to get fixes out in the next week or two (depending on Apple's process). So stay tuned!
Back up
I really like your App but don't seem to be able to back up by data to my laptop, which would be really helpful. (I have created lists of the books written by my favourite authors and simply ticked off the ones I already own. Great for going round that second hand book stall - I can see at a glance which I already have and will no longer purchase duplicates!) However, with quite a bit of info on there, it would be good to be able to back it up - just in case!
Could you tell me if this is planned for the future?
Many thanks.
